If i copy the data directly using a windows workstation then it is fine, so something is wrong with the way RSYNC is copying the data for that particular folder and the way it is handling permissions.

I''ve tried changing permissions on the source to everyone read/write access but the same thing happens.

I''ve tried creating the folders before the copy on the Linkstation Live, but as soon as the replication job completes from the QNAP it denies me access.

Here is the issue: Only 4 of the 5 folders on the replicated copy can be accessed with no issues from a Windows 7, Linux or Mac workstation, however the 5th folder (Multimedia) can only be accessed at it''s root but not the sub folders and has exactly the same permissions. The job copies over several folders, each with sub folders, they are created/copied or replicated with the 'User Group/root' and 'User/root' permissions. QNAP is not helping with this.I have a RSYNC replication job on my QNAP TS-412 which copies all my data over to an external Buffalo LinkStation Live.

I have a QNAP Ts-328 Realtek RTD1296 Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A53 Processor and also I don't have way to intall resilio on it. but there's also an option in the Jail configurator to set a static IP address. but the new Resilio Sync plugin jail install was painless.Īlso - my wifi/router does DHCP - once I saw what IP address the RSL Plugin / Jail was getting - I set it to dedicated/permanent lease. Note : that rslsync jail is not the same one in my original post - I had to rebuild my NAS again from scratch - had a hard drive fail in it - and when I went to replace with a new 4 TB drive - the FreeNAS GUI tools confused me such that I added the replacement drive as a stripe member instead of 'data + parity' member - so had to dash out - buy a 6 TB USB HDD - back EVERYTHING up - then rebuild as a new FreeNAS instance, with a new RSL jail. My Resilio Sync jail on the NAS has a different IP address than the main O/S of the NAS. Did not find any mention, but do you plan to support newer QNAP ARM-based NAS? Upgraded NAS, lost Resilio.
